Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of CookStrip (the "App"), published by Waikuu ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and these Terms. The App is provided free of charge.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where permitted by applicable law;
• use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of third-party rights;
• interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App or any service it relies on.

3. Your content

The App lets you create, import, and organize recipes, shopping lists, collections, and meal plans. You are solely responsible for the content you add and for ensuring you have the right to use it. Your data is stored on your device and synced via Apple iCloud (CloudKit); we do not have access to it. See our Privacy Policy.

4. Imported content and third-party websites

The App can import recipe information from public web pages that you choose. Recipes, text, and images retrieved this way remain the property of their respective authors and publishers. Import is provided for your personal, private use only. You are responsible for complying with the terms and intellectual-property rights of any source website. We are not affiliated with, and do not endorse, the websites you import from.

5. Intellectual property

The App, its design, and its original content (excluding content you create or import) are owned by Waikuu and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that imported data will be accurate or complete. Cooking times, quantities, and nutritional or allergen information are provided for convenience only and should be independently verified.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Waikuu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Changes

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Any significant change will be posted on this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence.
